Anyone
who lives in or around Woldingham can become a member of the Woldingham Panto.
Each year the villagers get together to put on a show for the local community.
The whole enterprise is managed by the Panto Committee who are elected from this
membership. Everyone is welcome to audition but even if you don't want to perform,
there are still roles in lighting, sound, set or costume design, etc. Woldingham
Panto has a long tradition of putting on fantastic shows and welcomes new faces
to get involved, hopefully creating an environment where they can learn new skills
while they enjoy themselves. The
moment you agree to become part of a show, either in front of or behind the stage,
you become a member. Woldingham
Pantomime Committee The committee is formed of members but remains with
the panto all year round. Their primary job is to get the next panto off the ground.
They arrange the halls, bookings, fundraisings etc. and manage the finances and
co-ordinate the creation of the next panto membership. This begins with the committee
members choosing a script, director, choreographer, musical director, lighting
director, set designer, wardrobe mistress and stage manager, and setting up the
auditions to recruit the new membership.
