Kate Gardener (Fairy Queen)

Kate has now been involved with Woldingham panto for several years.  Initially behind the scenes, she was bitten by the thespian bug two years ago and moved on to the stage as the enchanted “Spirit of the Sea” in ‘Sinbad the Sailor’.  Now it is hard to get her out of the magical limelight and she returns this year as the Fairy Godmother.  In preparation for this role, Kate has been working on her magic spells since the Summer.  After a few minor mishaps with the global economy (sorry Gordon!), she hopes to have the Credit Crunch sorted out in time for the January sales and wishes everybody a very happy 2009.

Annette Murphy (Dandini)

Annette has been involved in the last couple of pantos and has enjoyed it so much that when James asked her if she wanted to come back as ‘Dandini’ she leapt at the chance! She is currently in her final year at school where she has just performed in ‘Into the Woods’, as well as doing A’ Level Drama. Knowing how much fun last year was, she hopes you all enjoy the show this year.

Abbey Martin (Penny Piece)

Abbey is so happy to be back for her 8th Pantomime in a row and this year is putting down her dancing shoes and putting on the fairy wings. However, ‘Penny’ is a punky, fun loving fairy that really is nothing like a junior fairy and Abbey has enjoyed every second of messing around on stage and getting told off by the Fairy Godmother. Abbey has loved being part of the panto for the last 8 years and hopes you enjoy the show.

Chris Chaplin (The King)

Born and bred in Woldingham, Chris' first panto was back in 1985 and despite now living over 30 miles away near Maidstone he is sorry to say that he is back again for more.  Unfortunately for the audience his face will be not be hidden by a wolf's mask this year.  His varied Panto roles have included the ‘Dame’ and ‘Dracula’; he also enjoys musical theatre in venues as far flung as Sevenoaks and Cornwall.  He still works locally and is looking forward to notching up another role in this great Woldingham institution.
